JEB BUSH FOR VICE-PRESIDENT

How would you like to be penalized for the actions of your brother? Let's be honest -- That is exactly what is happening to the former Governor of Florida, Jeb Bush. I have been analyzing McCain's VP options over the last few weeks and have come to the realization that McCain really only has two options -- Jeb Bush or Tim Pawlenty.

Jeb Bush is a pick that would instantly bring tremendous energy and media attention to the McCain campaign. Jeb would electrify the Republican base, send the media into a frenzy, and improve McCain's chances in the electoral college by locking down the south and Florida and instantly bringing the Hispanic vote into play. Jeb is fluent in Spanish and his wife Columba is a native of Mexico. Jeb graduated from UT-Austin with a degree in Latin American studies and built a very successful business career in Banking and Real Estate Development. He is very popular with the Jewish vote as he carried 44% of that vote in Florida during his re-election campaign. He would also be a token to the Republican base and reach economic, social and foreign policy conservatives.

The only reason he is not being considered is because he is the President's brother. But, that really is not a legitimate reason. Jeb is a completely different person and has had a totally different life. This pick is one of the few that could bring energy and excitement to McCain campaign and steal a little of the thunder away from Obama. I wish McCain would prove himself a maverick and select a Vice-President like Jeb Bush who would bring some energy and enthusiasm to the campaign.
Unfortunately, Jeb Bush is not going to happen and McCain will resort to the "vanilla ice-cream cone" pick of Tim Pawlenty. It will be Pawlenty -- It is obvious McCain will pick Pawlenty. It is the safest and blandest pick possible and will fit right in the campaign that McCain is currently running...
